HOW TO PREPARE FOR CARS

AAMC does have their own CARS prep, but there are a limited number of passages. It’s a smart play to save these passages until closer to your exam when you feel more ready for this section.
In the meantime, you should be using Jack Westin. This is by far the best resource to prepare for the CARS section. It’s also free!

You should try completing passages without a time limit at first. Build the necessary skills to succeed on this section, then slowly work on integrating the time aspect into it. Doing a passage everyday will pay off in the long run.
There isn’t one particular method that everyone uses to succeed at CARS. For this section you’ll have to do some experimenting. If you get stuck, go to youtube and search “CARS strategies” and explore some videos.
